Who is The Wounded Society:
We are. There are too many things in life that leave us wounded. Depression and suicide recently hit all time highs. People today are prescribed mood enhancers rather than be taught coping mechanisms and how to deal with real life.
Our society is damaged.
Modern Christianity has taught us to put on a fake smile
That the only way to Christ is to pretend our lives are perfect
But everything is not okay.
Pain, suffering, and heartache are everywhere
In a fallen world, we need something real
We admit that we are broken and bruised
Today we declare our pain
To tell the truth that we need a healer
Our society is damaged
And we are the wounded.
